Maid of the Forth helps to save stricken yacht after Mayday call

RNLI Lifeboat was called out to save a yacht calling a Mayday after its engines failed earlier this week.

The lifeboat and the Forth’s Maid of the Forth leisure cruiser both responded.

The yacht was found drifting between the bridges and was secured by the Maid of the Forth crew until the lifeboat arrived.

The yacht was then towed to Port Edgar Marina where South Queensferry Coastguard assisted with berthing.
