Cancer fund to benefit from this year’s Rotary Club Annual Walk

A well-known annual fundraising walk will take place on Saturday, 14 September 2013.

The Rotary Club of Inverkeithing and Dalgety Bay is holding its sponsored charity walk from Inverkeithing to Aberdour.

The walk will take in a six mile stretch of the local  coastal path and finish on the Silver Sands.

The club first started the walk in 2002 and has since then raised around £30,000 for local groups.  This year, the 11th Annual Walk, the main charity beneficiary will be the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund, but many other  local charities will also benefit from the event, said the Rotary club.

The walk will set off at the Ballast Bank in Inverkeithing at 12noon and end at Silver Sands beach in Aberdour with a barbecue.  Organisers hope that over £7000 will be raised.
